Tips For Success
Detail! Detail! Detail! – Pretend that you have a video camera on your head. Clients love detail. The more detailed – the better!
Find a way that you can document your review without being spotted by employees. This may be bringing in a micro tape recorder, taking notes, calling your voicemail, or any other technique that will help you remember the details.
Make sure you do not get spotted. If you are spotted your results will be of little value.
Always get a name. The best time to get a name is when someone first greets you. Without a name, it may be difficult for the client to know who was evaluated and may render the report useless.
Complete reports as soon as possible after the review has been completed, while the details are still fresh in your mind.
Do not make anything up in your report. Our clients want to know the facts. If you forgot to document something or cannot remember something, state that in the report and make a mental note of how you can prevent it in the future.
Remember the importance of these reports. Our clients take them very seriously. There may be jobs on the line depending on our results.
Have Fun! Mystery shopping should be fun.
